Such a delicate boy
Today it has become official, I am The Peach. I am your favorite squeeze; that mouth watering fruit, my flavors explode on your tongue as I work myself down to your stomach where I flutter and splutter.. and before you know it I am in your blood, feeding your brain with thoughts and fantasy.

What I've seen/read/done
The White Hotel, by D.M. Thomas
An acclaimed work of literature, and not only for its occasional naughty words and descriptions. Actually I have to figure out myself what the real point of the story is. A woman is being treated by no other than Herr Professor Sigmund Freud. She's having pains in her left breast and ovary and in quite a few contradicting stories and sessions it is made unclear what the reasons of these pains are. lol Nah, it was fun, and of course I have an idea what is going on. But, why not see for yourself?
Blue Velvet, by David Lynch
Some time ago I already mentioned this movie as one of the finest I had ever seen. Yesterday night they showed it in my university so I went there like a cordless child on wheels and found myself stunned again by its beauty. If I ever complain about cinema crowd I can do it now again. You'd think students, and surely those in favor of Lynch movies, would be a bit.. well .. sophisticated. But the credits hadn't started yet or I could note the smell of beer everywhere, which was the reward for a numerous clicks, tears, hisses and sprays of cans opening. Then they had trouble shutting up, and laughed at the most endearing scenes. Fortunately I was forced to love it and I did lol.

In dreams you are mine...

The Lullaby Weekend
So in short what did I do the weekend I did not do anything in? Let me not get into much detail but I made soo much food it would last for a week if you did not consider my apetite. I also tried out sweet corn.. not in a can, but still on the stick it grew on. lol. You have to cook it and then eat your way like an animal gnawing it bit for bit. It's awesome.. but it gets boring after a while because corn doesn't exactly taste like God's gift from heaven. lol

A Tub
Don't tell anyone.. but I have taken a bath... I have not taken a bath since I was 5...for the simple reason that we don't have a bath and I don't fit in them. But..home alone.. I filled the tub. If you are easily offended, please avert your eyes, because the following descriptions can be tacky. So it was hot in the tub and I am not referring to the water. My next observation was that .. it floats. That's all I want to say about it. Other than that.. MY GOD, is it nice to be in a bath.. it's so warm and watery and it really clears up the sinuses lol. Addmittingly my knees were way above the water but that was a small price to pay for my pleasure.

But that's not the shape of my heart...

Less but not leased
After trying for more than a week, I could finally print a few pages on the fancy printer in the faculty pc-room. There was a small glitch even then though, because when I pressed 'print' on my poor laptop, its ghost left to the eternal reaping grounds for transistors. Yes, it broke down in completeness. So after much hassle and tassle I managed to get a replacement machine for the time being; the time being being the time it will take to repair my beloved laptop.

What I've seen
It's been a while and I will probably have missed a few things but the most important are: The Lord of the Rings; Part Deux
The long expected and lasting second part of the well-known trilogy. I must say that emotionally I considered this movie 10 times as cool as the first part. In story progress it was quite dull, but luckily it never got to bore me. My bladder was playing swordfights on its own. I had expected a break in the middle of the movie for a pee, a popcorn and a pepsi (3 p's)... but alas there was no break. It was maybe, because I went to an afternoon show. I also went alone which is also a bit sad, but fortunately this movie gives rise to more lonely cinema-customers. Admittingly these customers wear LotR-tshirts, - underwear, - caps, - wristwatches and - socks and call themselves Legolass (and not even just for friends).
James Bond; Part LostCount; Die Another Day
I think I died a thousand days during the movie. Not only because there were three 8yr old boys running around thinking fold-up cushioned chairs to be a mighty adventure, but also because the movie was.. as expected not very great. Of course a few action scenes, containing hovercrafts or fast vehicles on slippery slopes, were the peach. But ye old James has no charm anymore. Also, the last time I checked a map of Iceland there were no vast ice-plains.. oh well.
Ring 2
Just before the American remake of the Japanese horror trilogy 'Ring' comes out here, I have now seen part 2. A few months ago I saw the first part (Japanese version). It was supposed to be the scariest movie out there, but in that fact it was quite disappointing. Another thing was this movie. Bogdamn it I had to turn on the tele for a sec to create a less frightening atmosphere in the dark and lonely apartment I watched the movie in. Like in the previous movie everybody here can call upon weird paranormal powers.. and I wonder how the Americans will work out these typical Asian traits.

German Weather, keeps raining.. all the time
Today the news came to my ear that in Berlin, the renounced German city, you can buy meteorological phenomena. What it means is that you can give your name to a depression or a high pressure area. To get people to finally take notice, I have now paid much money to get myself an Olaf Depression. They said it could last for weeks if not months, so now it is finally scientifically proven.

New Additions
Finnish course
So while I still have Swedish as my fifth language in training, I am also busy getting myself to speak and write pa-ruuskee before I go to Moscow, and now since I have been listening to the serene sirenelike singing of the Finnish Värttinä, I bought myself a crash course finnish. Of course I am not far and it is not very easy to master considering its to me strange origin. Also the book I have is as unclear and chaotic as only my mind can be so it will be a big challenge. Wish me luck!
Kapitool Moskou
To prepare myself to the slums and shine of Moscow I got myself a nice travelling guide, for when my real-life-like guide fails. lol

Music Recommendation
Garbage
Ok, long time ago that I last had a music recommendation. Although I got a fresh new public library card which I immediately used to rent a couple of those rare Finnish CDs I could not find anywhere. lol Anyway I think I have mentioned them enough lately and frankly nobody seems to care much about them lol.. which I understand, don't worry. So yes.. today.. Garbage. I don't know anything about them lol. The only thing I can say is that a girl sings, it is kind of rocky, and extremely catchy when played on a high-end stereo in a living room. Just hop around on it. Other than that.. it's ok.

Touch me baby one more time
AKA 'Pageal Update'
I added a new poem to the runes section. I wrote this on a solitary night in Eindhoven lol. It starts out with 'His skin is scorched'.

I'm only happy when it rains...

The Village
I like living in a flat building. Hmm.. well the building isn't quite flat; I mean a building full flats. lol. Anyway, you are cooped up in this building with a bunch of people, behind a key-controlled door. Apparantly this changes all the social rules. Outside that door, the people are normal... inside it everybody suddenly says 'hello' to each other. People help someone who has lost their key, people hold the elevator for others and say goodbye; even, and this is most astonishing: people resort to the lost art of small talk. Maybe it's not such a bad idea to divide all of society into communes lol.

Warming
This weekend has been the peach. I had friends over, not at the same time, more in a time-sharing fashion, to warm the house. It's now all properly heated and it can now be used to do some serious cooking.

What I did not see
Yesterday afternoon I went into the city to see Lord of The Rings II, we did not make reservations because who even gets out of the house on a Sunday afternoon?? Sunday is a day of God, he wants us to be suicidal, depressed, hung-over and already knackered for the week to come. But no.. not here, the cinema we went to was packed with potential viewers. And yes, of course, you probably saw it coming a mile away, just before we were at the counter, the movie was sold out. I had done my research and knew that 15mins later the movie would be shown in a less popular cinema, so we moved our ass up there and.. no need to actually say it.. the girl in front of us in line got the last 2 tickets for the movie. So after a completely useless spending in the centre we took the bus back again to my apartment, where we watched Wasabi instead, followed by a meal (which was not only viewed but also cooked and eaten), and the movie Signs. Altogether not a bad day.

It's hard to sit on your hands...

God as my witness
A famous wise man, with long hair who fancied smoking in countries where cows are holy, once wrote 'love is all you need'. One can absorb love in two ways. You have the physical kind of love which requires the presence of a physical body, and there is the mystical kind of love which comes from the presence of a not so physical body. This is usually God; the being that gives you the love that soothes the mind. At home, there was no need for God for me, and now that I have no internet I realized I started to wonder a bit about this. I came to the conclusion that my far away internet friends are in fact no less than God. I can say everything to Him (them) without having to worry that someone will blabber it on. He (ok they are mostly female lol) gives me advice, tries to keep my spirits up, even though I cannot directly speak or see Him. And thus this makes the use of a religious God useless. If you ever thought I could not compliment you.. then take this is as one.. lol.. You are my God.

Pictorama
For those who want an impression here follow a few pictures (taken by my poor webcam) for your voyeuristic pleasure:

What a wonderful world...

January 5, 2003 -- Sunday

Start
I will not wish you again what I already have wished you at the end of last year. Having not said that, let's move on to more current affairs.

DroneAid
To prevent discussions, the cloning of humans has been forbidden in The Netherlands a year ago. It is not more than logical that world's second cloned human has been born yesterday in The Netherlands. Of course no proof has of yet presented itself to assure the world the baby is indeed a clone. The red lips, red nose, and floppy shoes do suggest something went a bit wrong. Another piece of non-trivial information is that the child is now added to a lesbian couple. This means a lesbian has cloned herself. It will be interesting to find out if the clone baby will be lesbian as well. To see whether one is really born with gaiety or that it takes fairy dust or whatever. It may be clear(ed) that I am of course completely against these terrible cloning affairs! I think it is an outrage that apparantly lesbians are purposefully bred how will poor guys like me ever find a date with such politics. The organisation behind this cloning deal is part of a sect which believes that we humans on earth are clones from extraterrestials (aliens). Come on, if there were aliens that could fertilize planets across the galaxies wouldn't you think it would be a bit more evolved than the humans on earth are now?

New additions
Soundtrack Amélie - Yann Tiersen
I have mentioned this music before, but now I saw the CD on sale here so I bought it. It has a few songs I didn't have on MP3 which I especially like so buying the album was on the whole not just a materialistic move. lol
A Room

Alcoholic
I ended last year and started this year with the consumption of all kinds of ghastly fluids including Red, White and Bubbly Wine, and Brown Rum. Now I might have crossed some kind of barrier, because believe it or not, when I am sitting here I am thinking that I would really quite fancy a glass of your strongest stuff, barman. This is quite strange because I still recollect the taste of it as so to say disgusting. My conclusion is; the poison is in the blood. lol I am officially addicted to alcohol, and if I am, 99.8% of humanity must be. My case against the taste of alcohol is becoming stronger and stronger. lol

New Line Cinema
A few wisdoms: Be where you want to be, then you can be who you want to be. A rejection does not say anything about the two, as does an insult only say anything of the one that utters it.

Hmmmm...

Astrocenter.com January forecast:

You may be feeling a little bit of pressure at work, dear Gemini, as January begins. As Mercury turns retrograde in Capricorn, it may be difficult to get yourself organized after the holidays. It is also possible that a new directive from management or projects that remain incomplete will demand much of your time. As Mars moves through your employment sector, work will require focus. Be prepared for complications, though, as Mercury retrograde can challenge even the most routine activities. Since it will occur in the sector of your chart that refers to investments and joint resources, be prepared to deal with financial concerns, as well. It is possible that a matter that you have overlooked will need to be addressed. January 23, when Mercury turns direct, is an excellent day to meet with those who can assist you, and come to important agreements.

Expect some excitement in your intimate relationships in January, as Venus dances its way through your partnership sector, especially when it comes into contact with Pluto at the end of the month. If you are in a committed relationship, plan a wonderful surprise. If you have your eye on someone, take the initiative now and be prepared for some fireworks! When Mars moves into your partnership sector at the end of the month, you will likely direct a lot of energy to your relationships, but be a little bit careful of impulsive actions that can come back to bite you.

You may continue to enjoy support from influential people in your life who are assisting you to achieve long-term goals. Keep these relationships active. Don't hesitate to ask for help if you need it, especially around January 23.
