Some thoughts are that what we perceive as beauty in a face is the combination of all the faces we have seen in life. Thinking ahead; a mixture of all the faces in the world would be the most beautiful face. Pudge would not be Pudge if he did not set a course to find out.. how to get the most beauty on a screen hehe. So I started programming and using some annoying math and some good thinking and testing I ended up with a program that could do it! I browsed the internet for months to get 128 good pictures of female faces and put that into the program. The result is astonishing. To check out the results with animations and explanations go to the dedicated website.

What happens if you give chaos a chance: it becomes order. lol Something like that. If you want to know more you should read some books about chaos. Mr. Ant is very chaotic, when he steps on a white tile he turns left and leaves a black tile, if he steps on a black tile he turns right and leaves a white tile. In the beginning Mr. Ant moves around in a completely weird unordered way and you can't make any sense out of it. Until one moment and then suddenly Mr. Ant starts to make this completely structured superhighway.

To find a way to keep things in perspective and to make sure my children will get well fed, I made this little Euro compliant Finance program. It keeps track of all my monetary excursions and makes purty graphs out of that information. Oh yeah, I blurred the numbers for my discretion lol.

A 3D screen saver. A globe moves around in a room that is reflected in one wall. That is pretty much the effect I wanted to make, a reflection. There are some light effects but nothing spectacular. It does go at 100fps on high resolutions though. :)

One technique that professional 3D applications use to render their images is RayTracing. In biology light-rays fall on your eye and produce an image on your retina. In RayTracing you work the other way around. The eye shoots rays in all kinds of directions and follows it to the source. When a ray hits a surface it shoots a ray from that point on the surface to see if something is reflected to where I am looking, or if the surface is semi-transparant, it shoots a ray through the surface to see what is behind it. This way millions of rays are shot and the information is slowly collected back to the first ray again.. and so you can say what color that dot in my image should have. In this picture you see an example of my RayEngine, with reflections, refractions and shadows. The white line shows where I am shooting rays now.

Cops&Robbers is a game I started AGES ago.. but it's still pretty cool. I made a city with roads and all and with cars driving around. These cars would just drive around randomly and stop for traffic lights, overtake slower cars ..and sometimes get stuck in the bushes :S. lol You could also make police cars go to a place and let him pick the shortest route. Well big deal you could say.. but you programm it and we'll talk more. lol

This is quite a nice game. It actually works lol. The deal is you have a few ships stranded on a few planets and they have to shoot each other. The trick is that the rockets you fire are being very much attracted by the planets, so it is quite tricky but entertaining to aim. The other cool part is that the computer players actually think lol and try to hit you the best way they can, which is not a trivial matter.
